So i'm back from my vacay and not really feeling it. Being away afforded me an opportunity to think some things out about the future but most importantly, it gave me a chance to relax and what do you know, I found my "old-self" again. I reverted back to the carefree, stress-free gul' I was before arriving at my current station. It was almost funny to see how my mood changed on the plane ride back. The euphoric feeling I had out in the Lone Star state was fabulous and then I landed and all the un-euphoric feelings I felt about being here came back up to greet me in the face like that gold-toothed brother with killer breath trying to holler at you at the club. One thing is for sure, this little excursion has given me new motivation. I've chosen a course to embark on. Wish me luck!
As a quick recap, the following things made my trip truly rock...
Food and Margarita's from this place - Pappasito's was a staple of my food eating experience. The Margarita's are excellent here and the portions are "Texas" size of course. They also have the best salsa. The waiter's couldn't get replacement's to my table fast enough!

Westheimer Road - Every flippin' restaurant that you'd ever want to go to was on this road. Matter of fact, pretty much everything was on Westheimer. It's a long road that extends into downtown and the opposite direction going towards the west side of Houston. It's busy as hell but if you can handle the traffic, you're bound to find something of interest.

*The Galleria mall area is off of this road as well. All the high-end stores are up in this mall.
The Weather - It was sunny and mild during my stay. There was a brief sprinkle or two but nothing to write home about. It was perfect vacation weather. I couldn't have asked for better temperature.

Sleeping In - Yeah, my alarm clock was pretty non-existent the entire trip. The only regretable time that I turned it on was to ensure that I didn't miss my plane. It was nice not having anything to do but breathe and eat.

Not Being At The Office - Okay, I got one call that I had an easy solution for while vacaying. It was great to get out of my cubicle for a bit. I did have quite a bit of work for me when I returned today but it was expected.

The Look Of Pure Contentment - I miss this face, this is me on the beach in Galveston looking realllllllllll happy. I'm glad I took this picture. It will serve as a constant reminder that I do occasionally enjoy life. Ah, good times, good times.
The two weeks off were definitely needed and enjoyed. Now back to the grind!
