One More Page In History

This, ladies and gents, is your Democratic ticket for President and Vice President. Senator Barack Obama made a surprise appearance at the Democratic National Convention where Senator Joe Biden accepted the nomination for the Vice Presidential spot. Obama himself will accept the nomination for the Democratic Presidential candidate tonight.

Like I said in a previous post, this is history in the making. I don't even think Barack thought he would make it this far. This nomination has inspired the hearts of millions, from all backgrounds. Maybe America isn't as superficial as one might think. Maybe only time will tell but certainly, times are changing.

Barack's theme is "Time for Change." Is this nation really ready for all that entails? We shall see. I'll admit here that my choice for the candidacy did not win and that my vote did not go to Senator Obama in the primaries. I have my reasons for that.

But I will say this - my generation has just experienced a monumental shift in the status quo. I say, Why Not? I hope for Obama's sake and that of our nation that if he is chosen, we'll have the reason Why.
