That's right...you're seeing this image correctly. I couldn't believe my eyes when I was walking through the CD area in Target and saw this cute face sitting on a rack. Jon B., the man that brought you hits like They Don't Know and Someone To Love is back with a new album entitled Helpless Romantic. Seems Jon has been flying under the radar since we last saw him. He was producing, writing, getting remarried and enjoying the birth of his daughter Azure.
Jon is currently on an indie label after leaving the disaster of Matthew Knowles Sanctuary Entertainment which gave our man no promotion on his last banger that flew under the radar entitled Stronger Everyday (which I also discovered perusing the CD section of a store). Jon is no stranger to producing hits and giving you a complete album where every song can rotate. His latest offering doesn't dissapoint. I've been rotating the hell out of the lead single Ooh So Sexy featuring Paul Wall since I got it. I have previewed some of the rest of the album and will bring you a complete review later.
For more on what Jon has been doing and to get the complete story on why you haven't seen or heard from him in a minute, check out his myspace page at www.myspace.com/jonboogotti. You'll also be able to listen to a sample or two of some cuts off the new album.
And I shouldn't have to say this but go out and support the man that help pave the way for another one of my favorite R&B white boys, Robin Thicke. You can also download the album on iTunes.
Enjoy!
