I know I'm posting this extra late but February's Homegirl of the Month is Taraji P. Henson. You may remember her as the no nonsense girlfriend of Tyrese's character in Baby Boy, Terrance Howard's ride or die chick in Hustle and Flow (of which she laid down vocals for the soundtrack on "It's Hard Out Here For A Pimp"), or most recently for her Oscar nominated performance in the Curious Case of Benjamin Button starring Brad Pitt.
Taraji is known for her spit fire performances and true grit when gracing the big screen. She's one of my favorite "slept on" actresses. She brought a certain charm and sass to her character in Tyler Perry's The Family That Preys, costarring Sanaa Lathan. Taraji has been in the game for awhile and making an impact in Hollywood.
Taraji has supported charities such as A Place Called Home which is an organization that helps at-risk youth achieve their goals through educational encouragement. Here's to an actress who personifies true African-American beauty, poise and determination.
Taraji, Life Inside My Head salutes you!
