It shouldn't come as any surprise that Regina King showed up on the list. From her early days as the sweet and smart Brenda Banks on 227 to her standout performance as wife to Will Smith in Enemy Of The State, Ms. King has epitomized success. She's played a tough FBI agent opposite Sandra Bullock in Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous and is currently starring in the hit NBC television show Southland.
Regina has starred in a lot of films supporting some of the biggest names in Hollywood but it's her amazing talent, panache and strength that helped propel films like Ray (in which she costarred with Oscar winner Jamie Foxx) to the top. Regina is currently working on a film with Renee Zellwegger as executive producer. You may remember her show stealing role as Cuba Gooding Jr's wife in Jerry Maguire in which Zellwegger also starred. Regina supports the charity Coalition of Skin Diseases which does advocacy work for individuals with skin disease.

Sanaa has a way of giving you that subtle fierceness that you want to see in an actress. Her film roles are versatile to include starring as a butt kicking alien killer in Alien Vs. Predator and as the proverbial ice queen in Tyler Perry's The Family That Preys. Sanaa's charities include the HerShe Group Foundation which empowers young women in foster care to successful independent adults.

Zoe Saldana scored one of the biggest gigs in town this past year by being cast as Lieutenant Nyota Uhura in J.J. Abrams' remake of the prolific Star Trek. You've seen Zoe in films like Center Stage which was a debut of sorts for the classically trained ballet dancer. She was also the quick witted love interest of Nick Cannon's character in the hit Drumline. She's been a hit in films like Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl opposite Johnny Depp and Guess Who opposite Bernie Mac and Ashton Kutcher.
Saldana has a graceful strength that penetrates the camera lens. She's been praised for her incredible acting range and ease of movement on camera. She's said in interviews that she wasn't an original "Trekkie" but did her research which helped her prepare for one of the most important film roles of her career. Zoe's charities include St. Jude's Childrens Hospital and the Barnstable Brown Foundation.

Love me some Sanaa Lathan. And I hold great respect for the career, the amount of longevity Regina King has under her belt.
Zoe is too skinny for my tastes, she could stand to eat something with cheese and gravy on it.......regularly.
