The Florida Gators are the 2008 BCS Champions. They beat the Oklahoma Sooners by a score of 24-14. Much has been debated about a playoff system in college football. I say bring it on! These Gators, lead by the phenomenom known as Tim Tebow, would still deliver. These Gators will take any comers.
The game was close largely due to the tremendous play of both defenses. Florida's speed rivaled anything the Sooners had played up until then. The Sooners did a good job of containing Florida's offense in the first half.
Then there was Tebow.
This young man is awesome! He's got great character on and off the field. The respect that he gets around the league, and the Earth for that matter is just a testament to his upbringing and beliefs. Along with Percy Harvin who played at less than 100% last night due to a high ankle sprain, Tebow and the crew sealed their fate as the champs.
Tebow may or may not be back next year. It will be a great misfortune for College football if he does not return. For the past few years, he has been an inspiration to his faith, his teammates, his fans and all of Gator nation. We have all been much better to have experienced the journey with him.
Congratulations Gators! I leave you with one shining example of why Tim Tebow is really indeed a Super Man...
